Who wouldn’t dream to spend time focusing on its core business, while outsource partners bring new solutions to the customer’s requirements? Outsourcing enables leaders to redirect resources strategically and enhances values and agility. The access to expertise leads to company’s growth, ongoing training and skill updates.

Poland experienced growth year by year since 2008 crisis, and it is one of the best countries for outsourcing, competing with China or India. More than that, as shown in the graph below, it is number one in the top of the most attractive European countries for outsourcing.

Among the reasons why Poland is number one are the following five reasons that we chose to highlight. The education and democratic marketplace are the ones to make a difference.

Poland has one of the best programmers in the world

Polish developers have a solid educational background, almost 40% of people aged 25-34 have university degrees, and they know agile and scrum. Also, 10% ICT specialists of all university graduates in the European Union come from Poland, 15.000 IT graduates enter the market annually.

Code quality is a must-have, so developers from Poland get the highest ranks at Google Code Jam, Microsoft Imagine Cup, TopCoder and other international programming contests. HackerRank rated Poland as a 3rd position in the next top.

Cultural gap is not an issue

There are no historical barriers for cooperation, Poland is a democratic marketplace, and if you are from Europe or US, you won’t feel any cultural differences, as you would if you would pick India or China for outsourcing.

EF English Proficiency Index 2017 rated Polish developers 9th in Europe for English skills, so you don’t have to worry about communication problems, which is one of the most significant barriers in the business world.

The time difference is reasonable

The timezone difference between Central European countries and the US varies from 6 to 9 hours. The smallest the overlap in the working day, the quicker the responses and the less the frustration.

Between Warsaw and San Francisco, for instance, is a 9 hours difference, so it’s easy for both sides to find a time for a call.

Data protection: high-security standards

Poland’s strictly standards adhere to EU data protection laws and this why this country can offer better data security. Since GDPR will come into play next May, Poland has already published a package of draft protection directives designed to implement the GDPR into the Polish law.

If your business includes customer records or invoice details, then it’s essential to consider issues around data protection and to make sure your partner covers data breaches. Poland is ranked on a 10th position regarding cybercrime, with only 3%, according to Symantec.

Polish developers price relatively low

Poland has the lowest labor costs within the European Union. While a world-class developer can earn even $100.000 a year in Silicon Valley, you can find an experienced one in Poland for less than $40.000 a year, according to Association of Business Service Leaders states.

As you can observe in the graph below, this is less than an entry-level developer salary in France, for example.

The IT market in Poland is continually growing and as we have detailed above, the talented programmers mixed with low labor cost, among others, get leaders to choose it as outsourcing destination year after year.
